Talks and Writings
Transcripts Jeff Kōgen Seul’s talks can be found on his blog, Turning Words.
Audio from our dharma talks is also available as a podcast.
Some dharma talks by some of our senior students may be found here.
The digital Sutra Book is our primary text for FMZ services and sesshins. You can choose to print it at home, or use it digitally if you are attending Thursday night services by Zoom. (If you attend in person printed copies will be available to use.)
Our Commonplace Book is a supplement to the Sutra Book, containing readings various sangha members have chosen to share. It is in book format so that readings can be chosen from it just as we often choose a teaching or poem from the Sutra Book.
Moonshine is a collection of readings, poems, artwork, and other contributions by sangha members. We often ask each other for a copy of a book excerpt or poem that one of us has read for Sunrise Sit or the Thursday night service. Moonshine arose as a way to make all the readings, as well as members’ poetry, artwork, writings, available to the community. All members are given a folder to upload items to, and other members have Read Only privileges to folders other than their own. A list of what is uploaded is kept in lieu of an index to the files.
